“The Nutcutters” are back! Packed with fresh new music and as good-looking as ever.

Their third album “Clyde” (2010) will turn the punk-rock scene upside down.

A grown up album packed with catchy melodies, fast beats, naughty and also thoughtful lyrics and spiced with the unmistakable voice of the Philippine singer Jake. Accompanied by drummer Normen and guitarist Chris, the trio is about to reach a new level. Their current single “Let’s Go” is loved by everyone listening to pop-punk music.

The pre-history of the band is rapidly told: Chris and Normen met each other at the buffet of a school meeting (2002) and discovered the common preferences for beer and punk-rock music. With a further bottle they founded “The Nutcutters”. Now they needed songs and a singer. They met Jake at a show in Zurich, the guy from the Philippines did not spoke a single word in German but he had a bass and could sing.

The debut album “Smashin’ Stereo” (2005) with a mixture of sweaty punk rock and melodic guitar riffs caught the attention and gave the band a constantly growing fan base. "Our concerts are the basis for our increasing popularity,” explains drummer Normen. "On the stage the chaff separates from wheat and only those who can inspire the people will exist on a longer term. And “The Nutcutters” come up with that.

Their latest album “Clyde” is packed with all the things that make The Nutcutters incomparably. Catchy tunes to sing along, fast singing, a hard bass and a loud guitar. Not to forget a live performance that will make you dance and sweat and always remember a night full of fun and drinking.
